Q: How can I learn more about Emerald City Darting Organization (ECDO)?

Q: How can I join the league?
A: You can contact the league’s Membership Secretary or any board memberBoard Members if you’d like to join the league. The Membership Secretary can match you to a team looking for additional players, or help you find a bar if you’ve already formed a four to six player team. If you’re ready to sign up a complete team, you’ll need to either complete our Signup form or sign up using our downloadable signup sheet.
You could also join the league as a substitute player. See our Sub List and then contact our Membership Secretary.

Q: Do you have any tournaments open to the public?
A: Yes, typically there are weekly shoots that are open to the public as well as a few yearly league-sponsored tournaments which are open to the public. Check out our calendar for dates and review recent announcements.
Q: Where can I find a bar in Seattle that has steel tip dart boards?
A: Check our Pub List which lists local venues, their address and phone numbers. You can also check out DartBars.com.
Q: Where can I buy darts and dart accessories around Seattle?
A: Big 5 Sporting Goods and ABC Billiards both sell darts. Big 5 has a dozen or more stores in the greater Seattle area. ABC Billiards also sells dart boards, throw lines and other accessories. They offer a discount to ECDO members. Another advantage of ABC Billiards is that they’ll let you try out various darts sets and can offer advice.
You’ll also find lots of dart retailer web sites. Ask other ECDO members which web sites they typically use.

Q. When I’m chalking an ’01 game, should I write the score remaining on the inner column or the outer column?
A. Write the remaining score on the inner column. With both players’ scores listed on the inner column, it will be easier for the players and spectators to see the scores.

A: You may email the board or bring up the issue at the next board meeting. Should the board agree with you, the decision may be overturned.

- Distance from center of bull’s-eye to floor is 5′ 8″.
- Distance from FACE OF DART BOARD (plumbed down to floor) out to the OCHE LINE is 7′ 9 1/4″.
- Distance from CENTER OF CORK to OCHE LINE (direct) is 9′ 7 3/8″.
- Minimum distance from OCHE LINE backwards to edge of mat or carpet (where player stands to throw) is 2′.
- Minimum width of mat or carpet (from where player stands to throw to the dart board) is 2′.
- Minimum distance between center of corks on adjacent dart boards is 6′.
- Minimum total width of playing area is 6′.
- Minimum distance from center of cork to a side wall is 3′.
