2020 ADO Playoff  Program

Four ADO playoff programs are hosted by the ECDO every year as part of the ECDO Advanced Singles League.  Players can earn free trips to ADO National Qualifiers, and ultimately National and International competitions, by competing in these playoff programs. All ECDO Advanced Singles League events are played under the supervision of the ECDO ADO Representative and are played in accordance with the established ADO Tournament rules.

Each season, players must first compete in a series of weekly tournaments hosted by the ECDO and run by the ECDO ADO Representative. Results are accumulated over the course of the season and the top 8 finishers are invited to compete for the ADO tickets accumulated over the season. The entry fee at a National Qualifier is $110 so each tournament series raises $110 per person sent. This money is raised through league fees, host bar contributions, and sometimes the ECDO will kick in some extra money.

All players qualifying via the ECDO Advanced Singles League qualifiers will be able to play in a National qualifier. The region 1-2 ADO National qualifier is supervised by either the ADO Area 1 Regional Manager or the ADO Region 1-2 Director. However, players are able use their ticket to play in any National Qualifier anywhere in the country.

For every 8 entries at the National Qualifier, one person will win a free trip to the National Finals competition wherever it may be. See the listings below. Finalists will receive airfare or gas reimbursement, entry into the National Finals, and a $150 cash stipend upon arrival at the Finals.

Each National Finals is different. You will be competing against National Qualifier winners from all over the country. So these are some of the top players in the USA. In some cases you will play for prize money and National Championships. In other cases you may be competing to represent the US in International competition. Like the regional competitions, the National competitions will be held in conjunction with a larger weekend tournament.

General A.D.O. Playoff Information
The following information is provided for ADO players and/or Member Associations interested in participating in the annual AMERICAN DARTS ORGANIZATION Playoff Program. This information should help to answer many of your questions regarding ADO Playoffs. For additional materials and information, please consult the "ADO Playoff Rules & Regulations" and/or your ADO Regional Director or Area Manager.

The ADO is going to move forward with open format of the National Playoff Program.
* Association/Local Playoffs
* National Qualifiers (Old Regionals)
* National Finals

Association/Local Playoffs = These are events that help players win their $110 entry fee into the National Qualifier

National Qualifiers = Entry to a National Qualifier can be made as an individual, or via league/association playoffs, at a cost of $110 per player.  One player per $880 advances to the National Final, and receives travel and $150 expense stipend. There can be more than one National Qualifier in a geographic Region, players can play more than one National Qualifier, and players can attend any qualifier, anywhere in the country. Once a player qualifies for the National Finals, that player can no longer participate in future National Qualifiers for that specific National Playoff Program. The player will keep the HIGHEST amount of points the player received for a National Qualifier for that specific National Playoff Program. All National Qualifiers MUST be posted on the ADO National Qualifier calendar at least 14 days prior to the date of the qualifier. All results must be sent to the ADO office within 7 days of the event.  National Qualifiers for senior Nationals can be scheduled at any time, but must be held a minimum of 30 days prior to the respective National Finals.

As a reminder, players who do not qualify for an ADO National Finals via the playoff system may be able to buy-in to the event for $150 based on their ADO ranking.  Eligible players will be men and women who finished in the Top 64 of the ADO National Rankings at the end of the previous full calendar year.  Also eligible will be men and women ranked in the Top 64 of the current ADO National Rankings at the cutoff date (45 days prior to the Nationals).  This applies to ALL ADO National Finals, which means that 2020 National Championships will be open to players in the Top 64 of the 2018 Rankings, and the Top 64 of the 2019 Rankings as of Tuesday December 3, 2019.
National Finals = WDF WORLD MASTERS, ADO NATIONAL 501 CHAMPIONSHIP, US TEAM, ADO NATIONAL CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIP.

Entry into the National Youth Championship is $50 per player, and can be made as an individual, or via a playoff.
